Jonh joined Church Bruce Solicitors way back in 1960, he progressed to Parner and in 2001 took a step back to spend the summer months overseas. He continues to be a consultant at the firm now that Church Bruce has incorporated with Hatten Wyatt.

John specialises in wills and LPA's.  He is highly experienced and has been helping people to plan for later life and put their legal affairs in order for over 60 years.

His friendly and understanding manner instantly puts you at ease, as does his ability to explain legal issues in plain English.  

He advises people of all ages, from all backgrounds and with a variety of needs, including those with a mental illness or deteriorating mental health.  He believes everyone should have access to good legal advice, delivered in an appropriate manner.  As a sign of his commitment to helping people he became a Founder Trustee at the House of Mercy in Gravesend, a charity which provides accommodation, support and a positive future for homeless people.

John advises on the following issues:

  • wills – to ensure your money and property goes to those you have chosen to receive it;
  • lasting powers of attorney – to ensure that if you become unable to make decisions for yourself someone you trust has authority to make them for you;
