Work Experience

We are very pleased to be able to offer unpaid work experience placements to students wishing to develop their skills within the legal industry.

We are able to offer placements to students that are currently studying for their law degree or have graduated. However we will consider applications from A2 level law students and those studying for a non-law degree with a keen interest in pursuing a career in law.

Work experience placements can take place in our Gravesend or Maidstone branch.

We aim to provide five work experience placements per year as follows:

  • Easter Holiday (two students for one, two week period).
  • Summer Holiday (three students for three, two week periods).

Exact dates are confirmed once the universities have set their academic term dates.

Students will spend one week covering all aspects of law. We do try and accommodate students in an area of law that is of interest to them, but this does depend upon business needs at the time of placement.

Throughout the week the student will be assigned a mentor who will be able to assist them with any queries they may have throughout the placement.

The deadline for Easter placements is 31st January 2020 and for summer placements 31st March 2020.

How to apply:

Please email your CV and a detailed covering letter stating the dates that you are applying for, what areas of law you are interested in and why you would like to complete work experience with us, to advice@hatten-wyatt.com.

We look forward to hearing from you.
