Mr Girach read History and English at the University of Malawi, graduating with a BA in 1970. He then read law at the same University and graduated with an LLB with distinction in 1973 entitling him to practice in the fused legal system in Malawi as a Legal Practitioner performing the functions of both a Barrister and a Solicitor. Mr Girach practiced in Malawi thereafter whilst continuing to read law externally at the University of London and graduating with an LLB with honours in 1977. With his qualifications and professional experience Mr Girach was exempted from articles and completed his Law Society's finals in 1980 and was admitted as a Solicitor in 1981. Recruited from Malawi by Hatten Wyatt, Mr Girach joined Hatten Wyatt in 1983 and became a Partner in 1984 until 2005, specialising initially in Conveyancing and subsequently in Private Client work. He is a full STEP member and a member of the Solicitors for the Elderly. Some of Mr Girach's works are published in the Butterworths Encyclopaedia of Forms and Precedents.
